4. I disagree. We have been reduced to our sexual parts for years. This new "I do it on my terms" is more like the fat kid who makes fun of himself before someone else does. It's still reducing the women to their sexual bits. Young girls use that same justification for the "Girls Gone Wild" videos, and other overtly sexual behavior that is designed to get men aroused (various campus activities, etc.) Those Calvin Klein ads, as most of his ads, are sex for the sake of sex -- not to further a plot line, etc. They are litte more than soft porn. While Victoria's Secret uses attractive models, they show their lingerie in their catalogues in an attractive manner without the overt sexuality of Calvin Klein. In the past, some of his ads have bordered on kiddie porn. This whole "I do it on my terms," is little more than I'll do it myself before it's done to me. It sounds good, but it's not empowerment, it's still reducing women to the lowest common denominator. Rather than relying on acting skills, standing her ground like a number of respected actresses, she gets attention this way. By the way, I'm not pulling this out of my a$$. Although I have felt this way for a while, psychologists have backed this up.

I know the men here (the author and the commenters) like that she takes her clothes off, but it saddens me as a woman that actresses buy into the sexist movie studios' expectation that all actresses at some point in their careers must take off all their clothes on camera. Actresses like Mendez just accept that actresses have to use their sexuality (not acting abilities) to advance their careers. Let's face it, she's no Meryl Streep or Cate Blancett, so she uses nudity to get attention for herself. This sends a bad message to women and girls in our society.

9. Eva, Great Work!

The female and the male body are part of our sexuality! The additional sizzle and often the dose of reality the scenes Eva does when "showing some skin" on the set, are simply natural and part of real life.

To be politically correct men are not suppose to admit they appreciate the beauty of a woman's body? Men are suppose to pretend they don't appreciate/enjoy those scenes in a movie? Men are only to appreciate a woman's beauty "behind closed doors" at home with their significant other. Sure, that is where a man should be loving, caring and romantic to his woman (wife, girlfriend etc.....) in physical romantic sense. That does not mean we cannot appreciate some sizzle in a movie or adult rated show. The only catch is to leave the "young kids or kids" out of the viewings when these movies or show are being played.

Are any of the great artists that have done wonderful works, including many "nudes", are they over the top too? Were they degrading a woman's role in life, her importance to her family, friends or husband, or her value to society in general? I think not................

10. PAALEEEZZ people....Eva Mendez is ONLY in movies because she is so eager to shed her clothes. Never....and I mean NEVER would this chick have made it on talent. She is sub par at best. Quite frankly...she always comes off as a ho.....and in real life it isn't any different. She looks dirty to me...like she could use a good cleaning.

12. She's already done a topless bit in a movie. I don't see the big deal in a woman, or a man performing nude, as long as it's not gratuitous, and is actually part of the scene for that show. In her movie "We Own The Night", she had a steamy scene with Joaquin Pheonix at the beginning of the film that left nothing to anyone's imagination about her breasts. It was just a small part of a good film. Powerfully acted from start to finish, and it did nothing to detract or promote anything in the film. It was just part of a scene, done and forgotten. It's not a cancer cure folks. Some actor's, men AND women show nudity in some form or another, sometimes to further their careers, but for some, it's just part of that job.

16. It is frightening to see how many place their value and worth in their sexuality! It is also very sad!!! We have forgotten that it is the mind and inner spirit of a person that makes them beautiful. I question whether or not Eva feels she has any real value without her clothes off. This is tragic to say the least! Hollywood calls it nudity, but the hard truth is that it is pornography in a different form. My advice, Eva; keep your clothes on, take come acting lessons, improve your skills, and you will prove that you are genuinely, brilliant and talented.

20. "She's hot" "she's smokin'" - all these things are true BUT where has shame gone? We no longer feel that nudity is immoral. God has a standard and you can call it archaic but, since God doesn't change, His standards don't either.
